Educational Resources
Education is at the core of the Museum's mission. We invite teachers and students to take the opportunity to experience the Rockwell Museum of Western Art as an extension of the classroom. We invite docents, volunteers, and visitors of all ages to engage in a process of life-long learning.

Educators
The Museum offers workshops designed to integrate arts education with classroom learning. Our custom-designed programs assist teachers with creative strategies to teach grade level curricula using the visual arts as inspiration. Workshop topics include: visual literacy and critical thinking, the connection between art and writing, and using images to teach US history.
The Museum also offers workshops specifically for art teachers. These workshops focus on art making and designing themes for student exhibits inspired by the permanent collection and special exhibitions. Several student art exhibits installed in the Museum's "Education Gallery" have been planned during these workshops.
Our teacher programs are perfect for In-Service days, professional development workshops, and summer seminars. Please contact Kate Andrukat at 607-974-2333 or andrukatk@rockwellmuseum.org for further scheduling availability. A Museum educator will follow-up to help plan a program tailored to meet the specific needs of the group.
