Director's Message
Dear Friends,
What does ‘community' mean to you? To the Rockwell Museum of Western Art, community is defined as the many audiences we serve; students, educators, researchers, artists, art-enthusiasts, collectors, and many more.
The Rockwell Museum of Western Art is committed to the preservation and interpretation of the Museum collections, emphasizing American Western and Native American art and culture. The Museum is equally dedicated to researching the works in its collection and providing interpretive materials and programs to serve our diverse communities.
Like our collection, it is our intent to protect the beauty of our earth by reducing the number of print publications we produce and use 100% recycled paper for the publications we will be printing. We will utilize web-based communications, providing a cost savings that will be designated to support our ever-growing dynamic programming. Please be sure to sign-up for e-mail communication so that you can stay current on our programs and events.
We invite you, our community, to the Museum and to be inspired by our vision, collections and programs. We continue to build "community" through partnerships and participation.
Our growth in fundamental areas has laid the foundation for success and advancement. I encourage you to visit the Museum often this year. Thank you for supporting the Museum as an integral part to our community.
Sincerely,
Kristin A. Swain Executive Director |
