What's it Worth? - Rockwell Museum of Western Art presents "Appraisal Day" with Heritage Auctions

CORNING, NY - Discover the value of items hiding in your attic or collecting dust on your display shelf! The Rockwell Museum of Western Art will host an antiques show style event called "Appraisal Day" on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eight experts from Heritage Auctions will travel to Corning from NYC to spend individual, one-on-one, time with attendees to determine their object (s) worth and insurance value. Heritage Auctions is the largest collectibles auctioneer and third largest auction house in the world.

Attendees will be able to bring in items from their personal collections to be evaluated by the experts in the following areas:

• American and Western Art
• Decorative Arts and Memorabilia
• American Coinage and Currency
• Sports Memorabilia
• Fine Art and Comics
• Americana
• Photography
• Silver and Decorative Arts
• Native American Art and Artifacts
• Jewelry and Silver

COST

• Museum Members: $20 for up to 2 items
• Not-Yet-Members: $30 for up to 2 items
• $10 per additional item (Maximum of 3 additional items per person)

Attendees will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Objects that cannot be carried should be photographed, emphasizing details. Please measure the object and record dimensions.

NOTE: Formal written appraisals will not be distributed. Rather, an estimated insurance value will be given verbally.
