Acquisitions

The Rockwell Museum of Western Art continues to enhance its collections by adding to them judiciously through donations of or purchase art objects. The Museum's core collections reflect the personal taste of Robert F. Rockwell, Jr., and Hertha G. Rockwell, its founding donors, who began collecting art in the early 1960s. The Museum continues to honor and build upon these art collections, which are related to the North American West, the actual and conceptual American frontier, and the cultures of Native North American Indians.
